Delivery Engineer, Security

Job Description

Toast is recruiting on behalf of this company for two Delivery Engineers, Security to join a cybersecurity team renowned for its expertise and client impact across North America. This role is ideal for an experienced security professional who thrives at the intersection of hands-on implementation and strategic delivery. The successful candidates will be responsible for deploying and configuring leading-edge security technologies, collaborating with clients and stakeholders, and ensuring successful project execution across diverse cybersecurity environments.
 

Responsibilities

 

• Deploy, configure, and integrate advanced security technologies including SIEMs, firewalls, endpoint protection, identity management, and vulnerability management tools.
• Lead the full lifecycle of security solution delivery, from planning and design through to deployment, validation, and client handover.
• Collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are met on time and within scope.
• Provide in-depth technical expertise during solution implementation and troubleshooting.
• Document all technical configurations and process changes to ensure project transparency and knowledge transfer.
• Support the setup and optimization of monitoring systems for proactive threat detection and response.
• Identify security vulnerabilities and recommend architecture or process improvements.
• Lead operational transitions and provide mentorship and technical support to operations teams.

 

Requirements

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years in a security engineering role.
• 1–3 years of experience in client-facing or consulting environments.
• Expertise in SIEM solutions (including architecture, best practices, and use case validation).
• Strong hands-on experience with technologies such as SOAR, VPN, WAF, IDS/IPS, DLP, and firewalls.
• Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Azure Security Suite, including Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Data Explorer, Microsoft Purview, and Microsoft 365 XDR.
• Familiarity with IAM, DevSecOps practices, container security, CI/CD pipelines, and ITSM principles.
• Strong Linux system administration skills and experience in cross-platform configuration management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical solutions in a clear and accessible way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of project management processes is considered an asset.
