Job Description



This company is seeking a Technical Lead to guide both engineering execution and strategic direction as they continue to build mission-critical logistics software. This role blends hands-on engineering with leadership: you’ll design and build complex features across the stack, make pragmatic architectural decisions, and collaborate closely with the CTO to shape technical priorities.

Ideal candidates are full-stack engineers who are just as comfortable working on low-level infrastructure and performance as they are shipping product features. In addition to deep technical ownership, you’ll mentor engineers, contribute to hiring, and ensure the systems remain performant, secure, and scalable.

This is a high-autonomy role where you’ll work directly with customer teams to understand their workflows and translate them into structured, intelligent solutions—often in both Spanish and English.
 

Responsibilities

 
  • Ensure the system remains performant, secure, and reliable as it scales.
  • Design, build, and maintain key product features using a Node.js/TypeScript and Python stack.
  • Make architectural decisions that balance speed, sustainability, and customer needs.
  • Own and lead large-scale engineering projects from conception through delivery.
  • Mentor and support other engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate closely with the CTO on technical strategy and long-term planning.
  • Interface directly with customer IT, operations, and logistics teams to understand complex requirements and translate them into scalable software.
  • Clearly document systems and decisions for internal and external stakeholders.
 

Requirements

 
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong full-stack background.
  • Proven track record leading engineering teams or owning complex, multi-engineer projects.
  • Strong technical judgment and ability to make architectural tradeoffs.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to clear documentation.
  • Highly autonomous and organized, with the ability to scope, prioritize, and drive work independently.
  • Comfortable working across the stack, including infrastructure, backend, and frontend.

Nice to Have
 
  • Previous experience as a technical lead in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional fluency in both English and Spanish.
  • Background in early-stage startups or rapidly growing teams.
  • Experience with TypeScript and/or Python.
  • Familiarity with logistics, supply chain, or procurement systems.
  • Exposure to LLM-based data extraction, document processing, or ETL pipelines.
