Job Description



Toast is recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing digital health and wellness company in the meal planning space. Based in West Kelowna, BC, this bootstrapped but scaling startup sits at the intersection of food, family, and technology. With a platform built around nourishing recipes, smart tools, and thoughtful design, the company is developing an intelligent kitchen companion that helps busy families reduce mealtime stress and build lasting confidence in the kitchen. As they enter their next phase of growth, the team is investing heavily in product innovation and retention to drive long-term revenue and impact.
 

Responsibilities

 
  • Translate product ideas into clear, structured briefs for developers, maintain sprint documentation, and ensure initiatives stay on schedule
  • Monitor product usage, onboarding flows, and feature engagement, and synthesize data from heatmaps, conversion trends, and retention metrics into actionable recommendations
  • Write product requirement documents and collaborate with external UX/UI consultants and developers
  • QA test new features before launch and manage bug tracking to ensure features are delivered on time and aligned with brand standards
  • Identify opportunities to improve onboarding, engagement, and upgrades, and support experimentation around pricing, packaging, and monetization
  • Serve as the internal expert on the platform and everything it offers
  • Coordinate communication between the CEO, Operations Manager, UX consultants, and developers
 

Requirements

 
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in product, business, analytics, or front-end software development
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Comfort interpreting data and performance metrics
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Detail oriented, structured, and proactive with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
  • Experience with tools like Figma, GA4, or Mixpanel is a strong asset
  • Prior experience in a startup setting or a genuine passion for food and cooking is considered an advantage
