Toast is recruiting on behalf of this company for a Gen AI Senior Solutions Architect to join their Products & Technology team within Internal Firm Services. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity for a technology professional who is passionate about shaping the future of Generative AI in a large, enterprise environment.

This company is looking for a strategic and hands-on leader who will design, scale, and deliver innovative Gen AI solutions that strengthen digital capabilities and unlock new business models. Reporting to the Director of Solutions Architecture, this role plays a critical part in aligning AI innovation with broader business objectives.

This position ensures continuity and excellence following the departure of a valued team member and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful, visible impact across the organization.
 

Responsibilities

 
  • Lead solution design and technical delivery of Generative AI initiatives executed by development teams
  • Provide architectural guidance on Gen AI tools, frameworks, and platforms
  • Design scalable, secure AI-driven applications and enterprise services
  • Translate and clarify business requirements to ensure technical solutions align with organizational needs
  • Support and contribute to enterprise architecture processes and standards
  • Conduct periodic code reviews to maintain high-quality development standards
  • Shape and deliver digital products that exceed internal and client expectations
  • Partner with Enterprise Architects to evaluate and select appropriate technology solutions
  • Supervise and support vendor developers within assigned initiatives
  • Drive continuous improvements in development practices, documentation, and design methodologies
  • Collaborate within agile, product-focused teams to deliver impactful solutions
 

Requirements

 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Extensive experience delivering large-scale software solutions in enterprise environments
  • Demonstrated expertise in Generative AI technologies, including:
    • Large Language Models (e.g., GPT-4, ChatGPT, Gemini, Llama)
    • Agent orchestration frameworks (e.g., Semantic Kernel, LangChain)
    • Vector databases (e.g., Azure AI Search, Qdrant)
    • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures
    • Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, Microsoft Copilots
  • Strong experience with Azure Machine Learning and Azure AI Services
  • Proficiency in designing cloud-ready architectures using Azure infrastructure and platform services
  • Hands-on knowledge of service-oriented, event-driven, and microservices architectures
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MS SQL, MongoDB)
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and defect tracking tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub, JIRA)
  • Understanding of high-level UX principles, including user stories, persona development, and prototyping
  • Azure certifications (Solutions Architect or Developer) and Microsoft Development certifications preferred
  • Ability to thrive in agile, collaborative product delivery environments
  • This role does not require professional engineering licensure and is not classified as a formal engineering position under provincial regulatory definitions
